Our Team

We are a group of like-minded forensic scientists who believe that the UK should have a Human Taphonomy Facility for forensic and allied research using donated human cadavers. The HTF4UK project is run by forensic anthropologist Professor Anna Williams at the University of Central Lancashire

Professor Williams is also the Manager of the Lancashire Forensic Science Academy, which runs specialist CPD courses for forensic practitioners and undertakes forensic anthropology and crime scene research. You can find out more about her work on her personal blog site here.

Also involved in this project is the Burial Research Consortium, a group of academics and researchers based at universities across the UK and abroad who are devoted to furthering our understanding of human and animal decomposition and decay in a variety of depositional environments.
